Corey Brown is vice president of J&J Development, the company that built Hudson Crossing shopping center (which has been the site of two recent shootings) at S.E. 15th and Adams.
She said her son was supposed to pick up his son from day care at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday but didnít show up. She said his car was found in the parking lot of Henry Tís, 1521 S.W. 21st, with a cell phone and other personal items.
Yikes this sounds like a bad area...
Corey Brown recently told The Topeka Capital-Journal that he was one of the managers at Hudson Liquor, located on the northwest corner of the center.
Hudson Liquor employee Matt Hill, 41, was shot and killed during a Christmas Eve robbery the afternoon of Dec. 24. Matthew Myers, 44, of Topeka, was arrested last week in connection with Hill’s slaying.
It had alot of trouble the past couple months. Also, a shooting in November at the convenience store. Both robberies, I believe. It is also right next to the I-70 on-ramp - which makes for a quick, easy get away.
But it is surprising to me that his phone was there, if he was taken by force, JMO.
Just my opinion, of course.
It appears that Corey's body has been found.
This is so sad.
Robert Stephen Brown missing since 3/10/2007 located deceased 06/15/2013.
RIP Corey and prayers for the family and, especially his children. May justice be swift.
