TV One will premiere "Find Our Missing," Hasanni in First Episode Jan 18/12

As the centerpiece of an effort to draw attention to and help find missing Black Americans, whose stories are largely ignored in national media coverage of missing persons, TV One will premiere "Find Our Missing," a 10-episode, hour-long docudrama series on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 10 p.m.
The premiere episode features the stories of two people who vanished in 2009. Pamela Butler, a 47-year-old program analyst at the Environmental Protection Agency, who mysteriously disappeared from inside her Washington, D.C., home despite an elaborate security system. Her boyfriend was the last person to see her.

Hasanni Campbell, a sweet 5-year-old boy suffering from cerebral palsy, vanished from the busy Rockridge neighborhood in Oakland, Calif.

This is great! I wish there were more shows out there to help find missing people. I have never heard of the channel before, but found that UVerse does have it. My DVR is set! All it takes is one person to get a lead.

"Law and Order's" Lt. Anita Van Buren appears to be the best hope for missing little boy Hasanni Campbell. Campbell -- 5 years old at the time -- disappeared Aug. 10, 2009, from the Rockridge neighborhood in Oakland.

I looked, but couldn't find the channel on Uverse. Can you let me know what channel it is so I can set my DVR?

ETA: Maybe I'm not subscribed to that channel?

It grieves me to know that I will not be able to see it either. I will email our WSer who tapes a lot of shows and puts them on youtube to see if this can be recorded so we can see the good work being done on Hasanni's behalf. PattyG is our WSer who does a lot of recordings.

I have been lighting candles and saying prayers for this little boy since I first heard of his disappearance. I pray he comes home safe.

The cases come from the files of The Black and Missing Foundation Inc., , which helps publicize cases of missing people of color in the United States.

The organization, founded in 2008 by sisters-in-law Derrica and Natalie Wilson, has seen a huge jump in web traffic and some new tips since the show aired, Natalie Wilson said.

ETA: Let's hope there are new tips for both who were featured on the premiere show.

I am so happy that they have this show. I wish there was a channel that told stories 24 hours a day about the missing children. No matter what race, they are all equally innocent little ones and deserve to be treated equally. I hate what the mainstream media portrays themselves as champions for finding little children when they pick and choose. It's not right!

lol - i just read about this on cnn and came directly here to share the news - as usual, websleuthers are always ahead of me!

just want to mention (in response to posts above) - the website DOES have the videos up so you can watch them there if you don't have that channel.
and if you click on the 'solve this case' tab, you can see the clues they have and see if you can do anything with the clues.

It's every Wednesday @ 10pm eastern. and they do re-run that weeks episode during the week.

on attUverse - it's channel 157 - you have to have package U200 or above.
