"A Granbury woman was arrested in Kansas for allegedly killing her husband's mistress."

"The Kansas City Highway Patrol arrested 52-year-old Shannon O'Roark Griffin last week after police received a call from her husband who said she admitted to shooting and killing Dr. Irina Puscariu, a suburban Kansas City psychiatrist."

"Roscoe L. Griffin, 62, told detectives he and his wife had been to see a therapist Friday. At that meeting, they discussed divorce and he said "he would not give I. Puscariu up," according to a probable cause statement."

Evidently no one told her that that wasn't a good way to keep her marriage together. He is gone for sure now.

During therapy Friday morning in Great Bend, Kan., Griffin learned her husband, retired Air Force Colonel Roscoe L. O. Griffin, was having an affair and had no intention of ending it, according to a probable cause statement. Court records show O'Roark Griffin then left the meeting and later the couple talked on the phone about divorce.

So now she'll spend her retirement in prison and he'll be free to divorce her and go on with his life....great solution, lady!

When a spouse cheats it seems like everyone always blames the person the cheater was with. I don't understand that and never did. The cheater made the decision to cheat. If it wasn't with that person, it would have been another.

And yeah, it happened to me. I didn't like the woman he cheated with, and really disliked her when she showed up at my house. But I pretty much blamed him, not her.

Friends of a Gladstone psychiatrist are devastated that her former lover did not give her any warning about his wife's anger.

Irina Puscariu had broken off her relationship with Roscoe Griffin, an Air Force colonel, when she discovered he was married, according to a retired Kansas City police officer who was friends with the victim. The officer asked not to be identified.

Dangit, her mother saw the shooting of her daughter. Her mother is from Romania and spoke little English. But she still was able to talk help officers.

Shannon O'Roark Griffin

Shannon O’Roark Griffin, 52, of Granbury, Texas, has been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action after allegedly killing Puscariu in the doctor’s Gladstone home.

I don't agree with married people having affairs, and it could be easy to find fault with this guy. But I'm thinking that even if he had waited until they were divorced to begin his relationship with the victim, the wife still would have sought her revenge.

Out of the three of them, I feel worst for the victim, who, when she learned he was married, broke it off with him.

BBM. Makes me wonder if this flaw in her personality is why the husband wanted a divorce to begin with. We see it all the time with husbands that kill their wives for leaving them. They never see themselves as the problem and that their own bad behavior is the reason their spouse wants out.

That's according to her friends, who claim she had no warning that Griffin's wife was enraged after learning of the affair.

However, according to this article:

The police affidavit says Griffin and his wife spoke on the phone shortly thereafter and began discussing a divorce. Griffin told his mistress the news, and she assured him “she would be worth it,” the affidavit states.
Griffin then called his wife back and told her to begin the divorce proceedings.

I'm not in any way condoning O'Roark Griffin's actions, yet I can begin to understand why she might have "lost it". Seems to me there are some parallels to the Clara Harris case.

Not bashing the victim at all, but it would be natural for friends or family to say that...as it wouldn't look very ethical for a psychiatrist to be having an affair with a married man. Just sayin... and the husband apparently called her that day also.....

Trial should be telling, imo. Sounds like he was singing from both sides of mouth to me. Why go to a therapy session if he was so set on divorcing her....waste of time....and then he tells the wife to go ahead a file? Why not him? Somethings hinky.

Moral: Watch out for NASA employees involved in an affair. Remember the diaper astronaut that drove 900 miles to reek havoc on her rivalry?

Is it just me or does it look like she's smiling/smirking a little in that mugshot? Definitely not a look of, "Oh carp. What the &%$# did I do???" IMO

Yes, that's exactly what I thought!! Very creepy.

Is that her mugshot though? Sometimes, MSM print driver's license photos but don't clarify that in the caption.

I'm not making excuses for anyone, but I think I will also wait for the trial on this one? I want to know more about the relationship between the victim and the husband. I would also like to hear more about the wife/husband relationship.
