I'm starting this thread as I read here in Tucson on Jan. 6th, they found a body without one and other parts sadly.

Decapitated body found west of Tucson

A man's decapitated body was found on the side of a dirt road Friday morning west of the Tucson Mountains.

The hands and feet also had also been removed from the body discovered in the 2300 block of North Reservation Road and West Mile Wide Road. None of the missing body parts were found at the scene, Pima County sheriff's Bureau Chief Rick Kastigar said.

I've reported it to Pima Co. Sheriff's Department & the news for now. Not sure what sex the CA one is though.

It's someone sadly. RIP

Please move if needed as I wasn't sure where to put this thread.

Emma! I don't know but read that we had a man's body with no head etc early January and tweeted it and CA isn't too far really & they found a head in Hollywood. 8 hours to LA maybe.

I suspect drugs right now for our victim due to the Cartels decapitating so many in Mexico.

Just wanted to put the most recent I'm aware of out there as it's not far apart date wise.

from the first link...

Two dogs were playing with it, and that's when the dog walkers looked closer and realized it was a human head," Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman Karen Rayner said.

Decapitated body discovered west of Tucson
Homicide investigators estimate that the victim was probably not at the location, which is in a desert area between Picture Rocks and Three Points, for more than 24 hours.

The head was believed to be a male, Fierro said, and didn't appear to have been in the area for long.

"There's not a lot of signs of decomposition yet," she said.

It's male and hasn't been there long from the article above. It could be or not from the body in AZ. It's somebody and they have family. RIP whoever either of you are. RIP.

Uhh I would never get over finding something like this it would haunt me forever.

Rip to whoever this gentleman was:rose:

Wow. Creepy and sad. I've never understood the dismemberment thing. How can someone do that??? Killing someine is bad enough, obviously, but then to cut them up.... I just can't imagine the sick mind who could accomplish something so disturbing and gruesome.

I just read on TMZ that someone took a picture of the severed head when it was found and is trying to sell the picture(s). Despicable.

I guess we don't need to worry about the person being traumatized by what they saw then? :banghead:

Just to be clear... this wasn't the dog walkers who FOUND the head... and then took the picture.
They didn't have a phone so they asked a guy if they could use his. He said yes, then took a picture of the head.
What a guy. :furious:

Hopefully they will be able to identify him quickly & return him to his family. RIP.
