Please Read and Thank this Post so that I know you have seen this message.

It is against TOS and all decent behavior to sleuth other members, harrass them, accuse them, or otherwise treat them disrespectfully.

Anyone participating in such behavior will receive a TO. If the behavior warrants, that TO might last the entire time the trial is going on. So be warned, there will be zero tolerance for harrassing other members.

If you have an issue, concern or problem, the correct and only way to handle it, is to alert the mods, admin, or the site owners. Once you have done that, rest assured that WS will look into the issue. At this point, your only options are to MOVE ON, place any offending member on your ignore list, or refrain from posting in threads where you have concerns.

You may not talk about moderation in the threads, or putting others on ignore, or pm'ing or emailing each other. All of that activity is against TOS.

You can find the RULES right here: [ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=159"]The Rules - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community[/ame]

along with other information to help you get along with your fellow posters.

If you have any questions, pm me or any other mod/admin/site owner that you are comfortable with and we will help you.

Thanks,

Salem

Okay - we are going to try one last time, here. Please read and thank this post.

The Tori forum appears to be made up of cliques. You know, the type you have in high school before you begin to understand that there are a lot of interesting people and places in the world and your fear of such limits the personal boundaries you set for yourself.

The disrespect between the two cliques is tiresome and the owners are considering pulling the forum for a bit. Now - that would be a shame, given that jury selection is scheduled to start and this final trial is about to get underway.

However, I am at a loss as to how to explain to SOME of the members here, that their posting behavior is unacceptable.

This is NOT hard. Post YOUR thoughts, theories and interpretations (easy enough right?). Read the thoughts of others (not hard). Respond to those that may be of a like mind (okay, that should work). If you disagree with another poster and cannot post nicely, MOVE PAST THEIR POST (how hard is that?) If another poster gets under your skin, PUT THEM ON IGNORE (only takes about a minute). If you must refute their post - then use a link and state the fact as YOU see it (you all know this case, it can't be that hard). THEN DROP IT! That's it. See, not hard. If a post offends you, ALERT it, DO NOT RESPOND TO IT, and MOVE ON.

You can do it and if you want to follow this trial, you need to start doing it. It is okay to disagree, but it is NOT OKAY to attack or make fun of others.

If you carry on correspondence with others off this board - that's your perogative BUT DON'T BRING YOUR BICKERING HERE. DON'T GANG UP ON EACH OTHER.

I hope this gets the message across. There are many good posters here and they sincerely want to follow this trial and see justice for Tori. Myself included.

Thanks,

Salem

Good morning everybody! We are opening a thread in the Trials forum until we can move Tori's forum here.

Please remember all the rules. And because this case is still under a modified publication ban, we can only discuss what is in the MSM, so be prepared to LINK your information.

Keep the following in mind:

First - a difference of opinion is NOT a TOS violation. Cheerleading for EITHER side is not a TOS violation, BUT being snarky and disrespectful about that opinion IS.

Second - if a post offends you, ALERT it. Remember, if you respond, it is on you and you may find yourself suffering the consequences for it.

Third - we are moving toward a zero tolerance policy. That means if you are snarky and rude, you may find yourself on TO.

Fourth - the mods will NOT be taking the time to send you pm's and hash it out. You will just see that you can no longer post.

Snarkyness includes avatars and siggy lines that are being used to convey messages you know you can't outright post.

If you have questions or concerns, PM a mod - DO NOT post them in the thread. Remember all the TOS and rules, please.

Thank you,

Salem

Also - housekeeping issues. We will open a new thread in the morning and close it at the end of the day. Given that there will probably not be as much to discuss in this case due to the publication ban, we will see how that goes.

If anyone finds any live links where the trial can be watched, that would be awesome (although I don't expect that we will get that lucky).
