February 7, 2012

"Taleek Brooks, a New York teacher's aide from Brooklyn's PS 243 elementary school who was charged last month with possession and distribution of child *advertiser censored*, has been arrested again by the FBI, this time for an even more disturbing claim.

After Brooks confessed to gathering over 1,000 pornographic images of children on his computer, FBI officials searched his home. There, they reportedly discovered evidence of a second offense: videos that showed the teacher's aide sexually abusing children inside the school. Police reportedly found two self-produced child *advertiser censored* videos, one of Brooks touching a child's genitals, and the other of him spanking a naked child...."

"....Brooks told an undercover FBI agent he was "interested in black boys 10 years old and older." Brooks also worked at an after school program at the school through the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club..."

"A Brooklyn teacher's aide who dressed up in an bunny costume at Easter and led an all-boys dance group has been accused of producing a trove of kiddie *advertiser censored* — some of it inside a classroom. Taleek Brooks, 40, an aide at Public School 243 in Bedford-Stuyvesant, was arrested Tuesday after the FBI found disturbing images on his computer of him fondling a boy's genitals and spanking a naked child, officials said.

FBI officials said Brooks admitted making his sick videos and photos and sharing them with online perverts for as long seven years...."

Oh my...I don't think I've read that Brooks worked with young special needs students. These children are tremendously vulnerable and therefore, always always the target for pedophiles. Bless those little guys.

Brooklyn teacher's aide indicted on sexual exploitation, child *advertiser censored* charges

"A federal grand jury has indicted a teacher’s aide at a Brooklyn grade school for allegedly taking videos of himself molesting a child and distributing child *advertiser censored* over the Internet. Taleek Brooks, who worked at PS 243, was charged by Brooklyn federal prosecutors with several counts of sexual exploitation of a child and possessing child *advertiser censored*. The feds also charged him with distributing explicit videos that depict underage children being molested to other alleged pedophiles via file-sharing Web sites utilized to trade images of naked minors..."

"...Brooks, who earned $37,000 a year as a teacher's aide, was assigned to a small, special-education classroom with one teacher and 12 kids at the school, where he has worked for 17 years. He has pleaded not guilty in Brooklyn federal court and is currently in custody...."

March 2014:

Taleek Brooks, a former teacher’s aide at a public elementary school in Brooklyn, was sentenced to 50 years’ imprisonment following his conviction for the production and distribution of child *advertiser censored*.

The sentence was announced by Loretta E. Lynch, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, and George Venizelos, Assistant Director in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation, New York Field Office.

“Today’s sentence stands as a strong warning to child predators, especially those who take advantage of the trust that the public and parents place in them to educate and protect our children, that we will not tolerate the victimization of our children,” stated United States Attorney Lynch.

March 2014:

Brooks showed little remorse for videotaping an 11-year-old boy as he performing a sex act, according to Brookyln Federal Judge Roslynn Mauskopf.

“Nowhere does he say he’s sorry,” Federal Judge Roslynn Mauskopf noted, referring to a bizarre letter written by Taleek Brooks.

Instead, Brooks — who once wore an Easter Bunny costume to entertain children at his school — blamed the government and the media for “re-victimizing” the 11-year-old boy he molested on multiple occasions at Public School 243 in Crown Heights.

“He goes on and on about how the prosecutors are making the victim suffer,” Mauskopf said with disbelief.
