What a sweet looking lady...I hope they find her safe and sound
This is all my opinion, which is subject to change with more information, if the wind changes direction, or if I wake up in a different mood...

I am so sorry to see this.

Our folks with Alzheimer's or similar dementias have a special place in my heart, my mom is in end-stage dementia right now.

This sadly is going to be very commonplace. I wish the Alzheimer's Association would become more active when it comes to educating the relatives of people with dementia about the danger of wandering or getting lost, even in very familiar areas.

I also wish there wasn't such a stigma about placing a person with dementia in a safe, secure facility if 24/7 care cannot be arranged for at home. Much of the time, there is only 1 primary caregiver for these people with little to no help. Nobody can stay awake 24 hours a day. I tried for 3 years by myself and it was impossible.

    RIP, Ms. Harrison.
