    AR - Beau Pierce, 31, Bentonville; 24 January 2012

Bentonville family pleads for man's return (Carthage Press)
Beau Pierce, age 31, was last seen walking into the woods near Bordertown Casino in Seneca, Mo., on Jan. 24.

Beau lives in Bentonville, Ark., but was out to just enjoy a night with a friend who left him at the casino.

He is 5'10", approximately 140 pounds of muscular build, brown hair, green/hazel eyes. He has a large scar down his stomach and one on the inside and outside of one of his knees. He has two tattoo bands, one on each arm. He was last seen wearing a grey sweater, blue jeans, an OU baseball cap, and Puma tennis shoes.

Search turns up no sign of Bentonville man (Joplin Globe)
    ---
More than 50 employees from the sheriff’s office, local police and fire departments, the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Eastern Shawnee Tribal Police joined in a search for Beau Pierce, 31, of Bentonville, in woods near the casino just across the Oklahoma state line from Seneca.
    ---
[The missing man's sister, Misty Deupree] said there have been postings on Facebook and on a website she created, “Find Beau Pierce,” suggesting that her brother may have won a lot of money at the casino the night in question. That could have made him a robbery target after he left the casino, she said.
    ---
Deupree said earlier that her brother rode to the casino from Bentonville with a friend who ended up leaving him there.

The last sign of Beau is a text sent to his friend asking for firewood. Authorities were able to track Beau's phone within an eight mile radius, but it has not moved for a week.

"At this point I think something has gone wrong...It's heartbreaking because you just don't know," said Misty.

After hours of searching on foot, a cadaver dog made a hit, finding bones in the woods.

"We're hoping that it's animal bones at this point and not human bones," said Misty.

Haven't looked at the fb pages yet, but funny none of the news articles give the circumstances under which his friend left him at the the casino. Did he leave him inside the casino, or did Beau leave and enter the woods, and when the friend couldn't find him inside, he left? Wonder what the heck he went into the woods for anyway.....

Interesting comment left by someone on his "Find" page about Beau being not a bad guy, but saying they should look at his "tweekin buddies" first. Tweeking generally refers to meth use....

“The friend said he got tired of waiting for him and was ready to go home, and my brother was not,” she said.

She acknowledged that her brother was intoxicated and apparently got into an argument with a casino manager before leaving. She does not know why he headed into the woods. She fears he may have been intoxicated to a point that he did not know what he was doing or where he was going.

I wonder if after getting into the fight with the casino manager, he was thrown out. He may have gone to the woods to pee?

I wonder if he was simply planning on spending the night. He texted his friend and asked for some fire wood. Strange that he would ask his friend for fire wood instead of a ride home. MOO.

Absolutely! I wonder if there is any merit to the early talk he had won money at the casino that night, and if he texted that info to any of his "friends". His sister alludes to a drug problem on his "Find" site, and the comment someone left about his "tweekin buddies" makes me nervous for him. I hate to generalize, but most meth addicts would rob their own mother of her last dollar.

Although who can say who was at the casino that night, it's important to remember that Seneca is nearly an hour away from Pierce's home in Bentonville.

I read at the missing facebook page. Through all the drama posted there, what stood out to me, is the love of a sister for her brother. Beau is like thousands of others affected by addiction. It's a very sad story he has so much potential, so much that he can add to other people's lives.

The circumstances don't sound good, but I'm hoping he will come home safe. My heart goes out to his parents, sister and all those who love and care about him.

    On the KNWA website today:

    http://nwahomepage.com/fulltext?nxd_id=307672

Thursday marked the first official search for a Bentonville man, missing since January 24th.

"We're trying to stay positive, it's been hard, it will be hard. Today will be a challenge," said Misty Deupree.

I see nothing new on KFSM or 40/29.

(I do, however, see bad news on KFSM re Angela Allen. )
