A TEENAGER who made a daring prison break earlier this week was back behind bars last night -- after he was found in a courtroom waiting for his case to be called.

Christopher Curtin (18) boldly strolled into the Circuit Criminal Court in Limerick shortly after noon yesterday.

He was due to be sentenced by Judge Carroll Moran for breaking into a rural pub last year, and appeared in the courtroom for the sentencing.

He sat down in the packed public gallery of the court alongside family members.

But moments later he was noticed by shocked garda officers and legal professionals.

So why make a 'daring prison break' in the first place.

It wasn't really a daring prison escape. He and another guy were standing outside the courthouse in Limerick about a week ago, and they obviously weren't being too closely supervised because they simply ran away! Probably a spur of the moment thing, and then when he thought about it realised it wasn't worth being on the run forever over a pub break in. Its not like he was facing life without parole or anything.

ETA: btw, he seems to have a habit of running away. He ran away mid way through the pub break in too.
