A man convicted of killing his infant girl two and a half years ago will spend 39 years in prison.

A judge imposed the jury’s recommended sentence on Friday for 1 count of second degree murder, 1 count of aggravated malicious wounding and two counts of child neglect. Antoine Duane Carter, 24, was convicted in July.
