Medicare: One Doctor leads largest fraud $375,000,000 over 5 years

One doctor leads largest Medicare fraud

Dr. Jacques Roy, a Dallas area physician, allegedly led a scheme that bilked Medicare for nearly $375 million over five years, in the single largest healthcare fraud committed in the United States, federal authorities announced Tuesday.
Roy, 54, his office manager, and five owners of home health agencies, were arrested and indicted on charges related to their alleged participation in the scheme that involved fraudulent claims for home health services.
    Here's his company: Medistat

I'm sure there will be others.

Fraud, abuse, and waste of healthcare services is deplorable in Medicare & Medicaid (not to mention commercial plans)

    Somewhere out there ....
I remember I would go over the bills as they would come in after my first son was born just to make sure things werent being charged to the account that hadn't happened because I had been charged for TWO circumcision's ! If that was the case I'm not sure he would have had a pe*** left , that is what I told the lady in billing.

    Im glad they were caught.............
