Boy, 3, was so hungry that he ate his own HAIR

Another example of our fine justice system over here. NOT.

The pair, of Pontypool, South Wales, pleaded guilty to wilful neglect of a child. Brooks was sentenced to three and Lewis to three and a half years.

I have no idea why they were not charged with attempted murder.

They will be out in half that time for good behaviour. Disgusting.

The judge that sentenced them should be totally ashamed. This child was tortured, starved, beaten and imprisoned. The sentence they received is not even a portion of what it should have been. Shame on the court.

Thread: Most interesting classic unsolved murder cases

This thread currently has over 350 cases with a brief synopsis of each and we are still adding additional cases.

You can access a spreadsheet that lists the cases in alphabetical order with the page & post number so that you can locate a particular case you may be interested in. It also contains links to any cases that already have a thread on WS.

Many cases do not have a thread. Please feel free to start one in the appropriate forum if you would like to look into one. Should you start a thread on one of these cases, please let me know so that I can add the link to the spreadsheet.

Thread: Cold But Not Too Old Murder Case List

This is a listing of newer but still cold cases. As with the above thread we will be adding as we go along. Most of these cases will probably have threads. If you do start a new one, please let me know so I can add the link to the spreadsheets. The spreadsheets may be accessed from the links below.

People got longer sentences for destroying property in the riots. It just shows what the priorities of British "justice" are

PC James Periam said: ‘I found the boy locked in a bare cell-like room. There was no lighting, the radiator was turned off and it was snowing outside.
‘All there was in the room was a potty, a bowl and a fork. The child and walls were covered in faeces and when I held the boy he was flopping on my shoulder.
‘His eyes rolled to back of his head with his breathing shallow, he was ice cold and lifeless.’
The court heard how the boy had two black eyes, a one-inch gash on his forehead and ligature marks on his arms from being tied to a bed.

How does that judge sleep at night?
Say what you mean, mean what you say, but don't say it mean.
We are all just trying to make sense of an unimaginable crime.
