Deputy Coroner John Ackerman told police that the victim appeared to be malnourished, and according to a police affidavit, he had bruises on his forehead, right cheek and right bicep.
Police are also investigating an assault on Colby’s 3-year-old sister, who was at the mother’s residence on Monday.
The childrens’ father, 29-year-old Jonathan Jozefczyk, says that he and Lyons have been separated since June 2011.
