FL - You are dead woman tells trooper over $600 ticket, cops say

A Sebastian woman threatened to kill a highway patrolman for a $600 speeding ticket and sped away for a 13-mile pursuit that crossed from St. Lucie County into Indian River County Tuesday afternoon, according to an affidavit.

"I am going to kill you," the motorist shouted at the trooper, he said. "You are dead."

Ruiz notified FHP's regional communications that Rodriguez had made a threat against him. He noticed Rodriguez was attempting to drive away and reached into the driver's window of the Civic to grab the keys, the affidavit states. The Sebastian woman continued to threaten to kill the trooper and sped away north, he said.

Rodriguez weaved through the northbound traffic, using the shoulders to pass semi-trailer trucks, Ruiz said. She also attempted to strike Ruiz's patrol car a couple of times.

Rodriguez continued driving until she lost control and struck a tree in the median north of Oslo Road, the FHP said. She was treated for minor injuries at Indian River Medical Center before troopers took her to the Indian River County Jail.

Rodriguez was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, fleeing and eluding, and making a threat against a public servant.

LOL she's gonna wake up today or tomorrow and feel like the world just landed on her. She done PO'd the troopers! I wonder if they drew blood for a drug screen? Seriously she should count herself lucky. After threatening the officers, she is lucky to be alive. A vehicle is counted as a deadly weapon.
Just when I think that I have seen the most depraved things a human can do to another human, somebody posts a new story...........

Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?
