NY - Reputed mobsters linked to 6 slayings in NYC case
A reputed mobster carried out a hit on an off-duty New York Police Department officer who made the mistake of marrying the ex-wife of a vengeful acting mob boss, a prosecutor said Monday in opening statements at a Brooklyn trial.

Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?
