Smyth has McClintic draw the scene: "just where the car was, where the rockpile was. Anything you think is important, ok?" he tells her

Rafferty appears passive as he watches the video, squinting as he leans back in the prisoner's box.

Det.-Sgt. Jim Smyth leaves McClintic in the room. She puts her head down on the desk. Smyth returns and McClintic lights up a cigarette and begins smoking as the officer resumes asking her questions. The audio is nearly impossible to understand, however, so there is little I can report.

In the video, McClintic says Rafferty hit Tori with a hammer. The two then placed the body on the edge of the rock pile. Smyth uses a tissue box so McClintic can identify where the body was moved to.

I have to believe that it was the defence that wanted this video entered in as evidence and were the ones to argue their case yesterday. Now they can use it against her during cross. I can't see how it is beneficial to the prosecution?

McClintic appears to be drawing a map of the area where she says Tori was killed. She describes a laneway, a rock pile, a fence and several trees. There was also a house nearby with a driveway.

McClintic lights a cigarette and describes the scene to Smyth as she sketches it. He asks questions throughout. #ToriStafford

That level of detail would become important a couple months later when Smyth, driving Ontario back roads, found Tori's body.

You would think that with such a high profile trial attended by dozens of media representatives from far and wide, the court could spring for a quality, reliable audio system.

So much for the big deal made here over which one of them may or may not be left- or right-handed. Many right-handed people write sloping backwards and vice-versa just because they like to. See here .
