Jill Kinmont Booth died Feb 9, 2012

i can't believe this wasn't publicized more than it was... she died a few days before WH (so it's not like WH's death should've overshadowed hers), yet this is the first i've heard of it too. thanks for the thread, sleuthster.

what an amazing woman!! she turned horrible sour lemons into sweet tasty lemonade -- unlike WH who did the exact opposite...

I was surprised to see this thread! I was acquainted with her at the time when the movie was released and knew a few of the people portrayed in the film. My mom was in the same class in high school as her brother.

I had joined her fb group last year. Im bad about reading updates on the group so I just found out today. She was a great inspiration for many. I was reading her bio one time and in the movie she went and taught at a reservation. I read that she did that for sometime but then she ended up in Beverly Hills teaching special ed children. She was a giver.
