LE must not be streamed online?

You could try Montgomery County as it seems they are involved with the search too.

his mother and sibling were napping at the family's home in the Sam Houston Lake Estates area near Tarkington about 3:30 p.m. She found the door open and the child gone.
The door open? This is a departure from what we've heard before.

Detectives said they fear that Devin may have been kidnapped after he wandered off.
"We've had grown people missing in these woods and it took four days to find them. This is a 2-year-old," neighbor Deborah Scott said.

Has anyone heard of a 2 year old that has been missing alone for almost 24 hours with a good outcome?????

Me, too. I remember what the area looked like, but it's been a long time.
That poor baby must be scared to death!

His mother was also napping when he left out the front door.

    No.

Then I read they have alligators in the area and that the dogs get a scent and lose it and that scares me to no end.

There are alligators everywhere around here. There are also wild hogs.

I hate that they've found no trace of him.

As far as the opening/closing of doors and the shoes. My son at age 2 was very particular about his shoes, he always wanted them on and would try to put them on as soon as he'd wake up in the morning. He was also particular about doors. He always wanted all doors closed. So, it wouldn't seem odd to me if Devon did 1) put on his shoes and 2) close the door after wandering outside. Kids that age are imitators - so, if his parents did something, he'd probably do it too, or at least attempt.

He is also 2.5, so his motor skills are more advanced than a child who would have just turned 2.

Now they are saying the mother woke up and the door was open. The part about the doors being locked probably means when she laid down for the nap, the door was locked.

Has the mother changed her story about the front door?
She said it was locked at first, now she says she found the door open?

You also have to give the mother some slack. Having your baby missing has to be extremely traumatic.

There was once an instance where my kids' bus was very, very late. I started worrying when it was 10 minutes later and the panic just got worse the later it got. I called the school and got no answer. I call the administration building. No answer. I called transportation and they told me the bus driver wasn't answering the radio, so they didn't know, and hung up on me! I frantically called the school district's police department and tried so hard to remember what my kids were wearing that morning when they left for school and my mind was just blank. The only things I could really describe were their jackets, backpacks, shoes, etc. Things they wore every day.

I missed where the mother was quoted as saying anything, but if so maybe she meant it was locked when they went down for a nap and open when she woke up and found him missing.
