HICKORY, North Carolina --
Two 16-year-old girls were arrested on murder indictments Saturday in the Aug. 23, 2011, slaying of cabdriver Adam Williams.

Emily Katherine Starnes, of Little River Road in Hildebran, and Consandra Nicole Tyree, of Ninth Tee Drive in Newton, were arrested and charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. Both girls are being held under no bond in the Catawba County jail.

Supposedly cab driving is the most dangerous job.

I can see why too. Please note that I have never been in a cab, nor have I seen one IRL. (I live under a rock).

But, don't most passenger's sit in the back seat? The passenger could have anything, and it would be so easy to shoot the driver in the back of the head after giving directions to a isolated area.

Props to those that actually have the nuts to do the job though.

Camyron Frederick Johnson, 24, of Hickory, was convicted of first-degree murder Wednesday in Catawba County Criminal Superior Court.

He was sentenced to life in prison without parole by Judge Richard Boner.

The cases against the people involved in the August 2011 killing of cab driver Adam Williams wrapped up on Monday when Matthew Gene Hopkins pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.

Hopkins, 24, of Connelly Springs, will spend the rest of his life in jail...

Robert Shannon McElwee, Emily Kathryn Starnes and Consandra Nicole Tyree were previously convicted of charges related to the murder of Williams and are serving active sentences in the Division of Adult Correction.
