    Smyth went back to main road called in for forensics and identification teams They arrived just after 1 pm and started by securing the scene

    After the body was located, Smyth contacted investigation team, asked for officers to secure the scene.

    Other officers started arriving at 1:09.

    Smyth says he did this bc he didn't want to contaminate the crime scene

    Smyth was on the site until 5:30 pm. Other investigators and Detective Inspector Renton had arrived when he left.

    A forensic pathologist and the chief coroner's office also attended. Officers guarded the s nee as well.

    I am thankful somebody like Smyth found Tori. Very thankful. As a seasoned police officer he would know scene of crime protocal. Better him than somebody like the shoe lady or some other person walking their dog.

    Forensic investigators were at the scene that day -Tori's body removed noon the next day and taken to the Chief Coroner's office in Toronto

    Smyth returned to the scene that night, left at 9:25. Returned before 8:30 a.m. Tori's body was removed from the scene just after 12pm

    Tori's body was identified thru dental records and cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head

    Her body was taken to Toronto. She was identified by dental records. Cause of death was listed as blunt force trauma to the head.

    On July 20, Smyth went with the body to the coroner's office in Toronto. She was identified thru dental records

    Smyth said he took time out to go to Tori's funeral - Crown is done - defense has no questions Smyth is excused

    ID officer Gary Scoyne is back on the stand for his fourth round of testimony in the trial

    In some ways, I see him as the angel of murdered women and children, bringing forth justice for them.

    Smyth's involvement in the investigation on July 31st, after he attended Tori's funeral. No more questions from the crown.

    No questions from Derstine. The crown has again called Identification Constable Gary Scoyne, who will provide photos from the scene.

    The photos shown to jury are public exhibits but it is up to ind media organizations to decide what to publish

    I'm not sure how a falsely accused would look in court as opposed to a guilty person, so I don't put much emphasis on that.

    From the tweets, I gather the landmarks were easily viewable from the crime scene..............or were they only visible a distance away from the car, the rockpile and the route between them?
