Awww....I don't like this. I wish they hadn't announced that mom was getting custody while the boy was still in his fathers care.

I'm having fears of a Josh Powell potential here... I hope I'm wrong. A week is a long time to elude police and now with the coverage I really am afraid he'll feel even more desperate.

I hope they traced that text message! On NG the telecommunications expert said it can be traced but a former LE said it couldn't. That was a very confusing discussion. Not sure why a former police commander would say it would be very difficult.

WOODROW TRIPP, FORMER POLICE COMMANDER: A lot of this has to do, Nancy, with whether the phone is actually on or not. Doesn`t have to be anyone talking on it, but it certainly needs to be on in order to do that. There are some other things that you can do there...

GRACE: Well, what about the text? Whether the phone is on or off now, can`t that text be pinged?

TRIPP: Well, not so much pinged. There can be phone records obtained to see if, in fact, the phone was used and if there was a text message was sent type thing. Possibly, the cell phone tower could be located. But again, if that phone is only turned on, the message is sent and then it`s turned off, it`s going to become very difficult to track it.

Northland boy, missing nearly two weeks, found safe; father hospitalized

A missing Brookston boy and his father have been found.

Wyatt Nordrum, 7, and his father, James Leon Nordrum Jr., 41, were found in the Stoney Brook area Saturday night with the help of tips from the public, according to the St. Louis County Sheriff's office.

Wyatt Nordrum had been missing since March 27 after allegedly being kidnapped by his father, who is embroiled in a custody battle with Wyatt's mother.

James Leon Nordrum Jr. is in intensive care and stable condition following surgery at St. Luke's hospital in Duluth after suffering self-inflicted injuries, according to his attorney, Terri Port Wright.

Port Wright said Wyatt has been reunited with his mother.

She said Wyatt was not injured.

"He was safe the whole time," she said.
