Missing 2-month-old found dead in field

The 2-month-old baby the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office was looking for in the Zachary area has been found dead in a ditch in a field across the street from the home.

The mother was found incapacitated in the backyard of a Baker home. The mother is currently in the hospital. Police say both parents are being questioned at this time.

***This is freaking me out. This is my town!
Very small town with hardly no crime.

I'll keep my eyes and ears open for updates.

East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff's deputies say a 2-month-old boy was found dead in Zachary after a seven-hour search.

She says the baby's father has been detained for questioning by detectives. The boy's mother is in a local hospital.

Hicks said the mother and father got into a domestic dispute Monday. She says the mother was found alone in a yard incoherent around 11 a.m. Monday.

***The other article said she was found in a yard in Baker.
Baker is about 5 miles from Zachary.

Casey Hicks with EBRSO said the mother and father got into a fight Monday morning around 8 a.m. The mom left the house with the child around 11 a.m.

Hicks reported a neighbor found the mother wandering around in her yard, but then the mother started to beat the neighbor.

Authorities said a relative of the baby's mother contacted the Zachary Police Department at 2 a.m. to report something had happened.

The sheriff's office began a search of the area near the home using a helicopter, police dogs and deputies on foot.

The infant's body was found in the woods across from the home Tuesday morning.

The mother was found incapacitated in the backyard of a Baker home. She is currently in the hospital.

The father is being questioned by detectives.

An autopsy is under way to determine the exact cause of death.

***BBM - this is so weird

I live within a mile or two of where this happened and I would have taken that baby no questions asked.

What is wrong with this world?

What is wrong with this world?

I help run a Facebook page where we try to help, and find homes for, dogs and cats. The animal abuse that goes on in this world is unfathomable. I find myself asking that same question time and time again. But I have yet to find an answer. :(

From the above link from wafb that has been updated:

The child, Javion Brown, lived in the 1200 block of East Mt Pleasant Zachary Road.

Rest in peace Javion.

From the pictures I've seen and digging in public records, I had come up with the last name Brown.

If its the house I'm thinking it is, there may be one heck of a "back story" to this y'all.

I'll keep my thoughts to myself until I get more info from MSM.

This makes me sick!!!

Farher's name is Willie Brown Jr.
This IS the family I thought it was.
This baby never stood a chance.

The boy’s father, Willie Brown Jr., 32, and mother have been detained for questioning by Sheriff’s Office detectives, Hicks said. The mother, whose name has not been released, will likely be booked on a count of second-degree murder, Hicks said.

Brown will be booked on a count of marijuana possession and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, Hicks said.

Hicks said the search had been ongoing since 3 a.m.

Hicks said the boy’s mother and father got into a domestic dispute Monday at 8:30 a.m.

Later Monday, at 11 a.m., the mother was found alone in a yard naked and incoherent and was taken to a local hospital, Hicks said.

In case anybody is interested, this is the family this baby was unfortunate to be born into.

These articles are about William Sr.

Sheesh... so he was the crazy guy in the neighborhood. They don't usually have babies, they are usually loners. :waitasec:

I really hope that the neighbor immediately MOVED...
The one who's daughter's name was painted all over this guys house...
Otherwise... I'd be questioning that neighbors sanity as well. :what:

Ok, so they were living in the boarded up house.
They were living in what we, in Zachary, refer to as the "blackbird" house. I can not believe that! I thought that house was abandoned a while back.

Y'all. This house has been the talk of the town for years. The man that lived there was completely off his rocker.

He is the father of the Baby's father.

The house is not really in a neighborhood. It's on some land. There are neighbors but not a subdivision.
It's a crazy situation.

He wanted to open a church in it. He had upside down crosses in front of it.

This family has a history of mental illness, drug problems, and fraud.
It's unreal.

I wonder if the house had utilities? Because I assumed it was abandoned. I pass it all the time.

A couple of us had noticed a white car parked BEHIND the house a few times.

http://www.zacharytoday.com/bookmar...gation continues into infant death in Zachary

About 8:30 a.m. Monday morning, April 9, authorities received a domestic disturbance call from 1250 East Mount Pleasant Rd., said Casey Rayborn Hicks, spokesperson for EBRSO.

Hicks said the couple involved in the dispute lived at 1250 E. Mount Pleasant - also dubbed the "Blackbird Black" house by area residents - and the former residence of William Brown, 62. Hicks said Brown is not involved in this case and has not lived at the residence for some time.

The man was taken into custody and the woman left with the couple's two-month-old baby boy around 11 a.m.
