Unidentified White Female

The victim was discovered on June 25, 1993 in Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia
Skeletal Remains

Vital Statistics

Estimated age: 31-36 years old
Approximate Height and Weight: 5'3-5'6"; 100-120 lbs.
Dentals: Available. Dental work present.
Clothing: A white, halter top; sleeveless, tan jacket and light weight, blousy, elastic, waistband slacks. The victim also wore a 24 inch long strand of white beads, with imprinted, blue flowers, separated by gold colored, metal beads and multi colored, bead earrings.

Case History
The victim was located at a construction site at Shufflegrit Road, in Marietta, GA.

MARIETTA, Ga. -- What was once one mystery is now two mysteries.

The latest DNA technology has determined that skeletal remains unearthed in Marietta are not those of a 36-year-old Acworth woman who disappeared in 1992.

Marietta Police said they are back to square one trying to identify the remains.

"This is someone's mother, someone's sister, definitely someone's daughter that they may not have had contact with in over 20 years," Officer David Baldwin said.

The remains were found on June 25, 1993 by construction workers who were building the Brentwood Park subdivision on Allgood Road. For years, investigators believed the remains belonged to Belinda Norred.

Norred was last seen at the mobile home park where she lived. She vanished more than a year before the skeleton was unearthed.

Me: So now it may be four or this current UID did not know Creasman.
Rita Creasman, Twyla Mickey and Belinda Norred all knew Creasman when they disappeared.
Rita was married to him when she disappeared and Twyla lived with him at the time of her disappearance.
Creasman "stayed at" Belinda's home a lot when Belinda disappeared.

Alrighty then...who else did Creasman date that could be this UID.

Although Gary Hilton lived not too awful far from there, as well.
It is not his MO to bury anybody though, right?
Although...that man switched it up a lot! He even bragged about switching it up to confuse LE.
I'll look tomorrow and see where he was back then.

...19.9 miles from Chamblee - where Hilton lived at his boss' house.

I must have mapped this before for Belinda Norred, seems awfully familiar.
Guess I better figure out where Hilton was in 1993 before I pursue that line any further...tomorrow.

Geez, so where was he in 1993? From July 1987 until 1997 = no entries for his whereabouts.

I wonder if that is a result of the DNA testing? Hopefully they will update the profiles with the new age range...

Just as you said - they look at certain bones and growth plates. But they may get different readings from looking at different bones. They may just decide that all of the readings evaluated collectively support a different estimate than initially stated.

But as for DNA, our DNA remains the same throughout our lives, so you wouldn't be able to determine age from DNA.

What do you guys think about Twyla Mickey? She was last seen in November 1989 in Doraville which according to Google Maps is only about 30 minutes from Marietta. She was 30 when she went missing and was around 5'6

There aren't any photos of her elsewhere (except in the article linked above), so I am posting it here. I also forwarded it to Meaghan at Charley Project and hopefully she can do a casefile on her.

I still can't find any photos of Twyla Mickey. She is listed in Ancestry with with a birth-year of 1958 and most recent address in Villa Rica, GA

Twyla Mickey, a 30-year-old single mom, had been living with Creasman and his children in Marietta when she disappeared in 1989.

Belinda Norred, 36, vanished from her mobile home in Acworth in 1992. She had been in an on-again, off-again relationship with Creasman.

Both women remain missing and are feared dead, but because no bodies have been found, the cases are classified as missing persons.

This is first submitting a "maybe," so please be kind! :)

She was LKA on September 5, 1992. The place she was last seen is about nine miles from where the remains were found. There are other similarities:

Weight: 100 - 120 lbs - Bridget is 110 pounds.
Height: 5' 3" - 5' 6" - Bridget is 5'3.
Sex: Female
Birth Range: 1957 - 1962. This contradicts a more recent article here: http://acworth.11alive.com/news/news/110875-bones-found-1993-not-cherokee-woman, which lists the age as 25-30, Bridget was 27 in 1992.

Here are some cons:
I feel like this potential match has probably already been investigated. It is SO CLOSE to where Bridget was last seen. I can't find this UID in NAMUS, so I can't tell if she's been ruled out.

The clothes do not match what Bridget was reportedly last wearing.

Could remains be skeletonized after nine months? I am not an expert in decomposition.

Honestly, she doesn't really look like the UID, but it's hard to tell because Bridget's hair is dyed and she is wearing heavy eyeliner in the picture. But I can see some similarities in the mouth area.
 
One would think due to the proximity and timeframe that she would have been looked at. But you never know.

My gut impression (primarily from the clothing) is that this is probably not Bridget. But don't take my word for it.

I wouldn't put too much reliance on the resemblance (or lack thereof) to the recon sculpture. This artist creates nice-looking sculptures, but for at least a couple of cases where the UID has ultimately been identified, the resemblance is way off. I know of one that was pretty close, but I know of a couple others that were not close at all.

Revisiting this one. What do you think of Deborah Jean McNeeley?

DJM went missing on January 29, 1991 from Rockdale County, GA, and her car was found in Decatur. That's less than an hour away from Marietta. The weight is off and she's a little over the age range but the location is good. I found an article from a few months ago stating that her case is being reopened; sounds like her ex is the prime suspect. Thoughts?

EDIT: this was in response to the Bridget Clodfelter posts...

I was just looking at these cases today. The unidentified woman's file reports unknown eye and hair color... I wonder what that recon would look like with Bridget's coloring?? The age is just a little off, but the other stats match as well as the fact that they were both wearing somewhat "stylish" clothing (IMO)

If nobody has called to check out this possibility, I will !
