Just when I think that I have seen the most depraved things a human can do to another human, somebody posts a new story...........

Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?

    from your link.

Is THIS what their lives were worth??!!

According to the sheriff’s office, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old went to the home Sunday intending to rob Lorah’s son. Authorities say the 16-year-old shot and killed Lorah and her son. Both teens allegedly then stole a safe containing $370 and a gun.

Justin Wirth and Clayton Combs seemed just as shocked and grief-stricken as anyone at lunch on Tuesday, as they spoke with classmates about the killing of their close friend and his mother.

snip...Wirth was Haley’s close friend, and once stayed at his house for three months after getting kicked out of his own home. Combs is one of more than 600 members of a R.I.P. William Dalton Haley Facebook group. The two suspects are students at Riverdale, as was Haley.

Still no answer to why except that maybe Haley may have once pointed a gun at Wirth.

Amy Ann Lorah, a victim of Monday’s double homicide in Lehigh Acres, would often welcome stray teenagers into her home.

snip...Barnes said it’s possible Lorah took in the wrong teenager and suffered the consequences. This past year, one of them ended up robbing her and Lorah pressed charges, Barnes said.

    March 2016:

Lehigh Acres man convicted of first-degree murder on 20th birthday

    http://www.news-press.com/story/news...hday/81276520/

A man who was accused of killing a mother and her 16-year-old son was found guilty of two first-degree murder charges Thursday — his 20th birthday.

Justin Wirth was 16 when Lee County sheriff's deputies arrested him and another teen in the April 8, 2012 killing of Amy Ann Lorah, 43, and William Dalton Haley at their Lehigh Acres house.

Wirth and his co-defendant , Clayton Tanner Combs — who was 17 at the time of the killings — will be sentenced together in May on their charges, which also include armed home invasion, said Samantha Syoen, spokeswoman for the state attorney's office.

“We’re thankful for the attention and efforts of the jury. This has been a very traumatic life event for the victims' family. We are thankful that they now have some closure,” said Assistant State Attorney Larry Justham.

Lehigh Acres man sentenced for 2012 double-murder

    http://www.winknews.com/2016/05/09/j...double-murder/

A 20-year-old will spend his life in prison for the 2012 murders of a teen and mother as announced in a sentence hearing Monday.

Wirth’s friend, Clayton Combs, accepted a plea deal and was given 40 years in prison. He also faced first-degree murder charges in the crime but testified against Wirth in March.

It is sad that when you show some people kindness and generosity, they treat you with contempt and respond greedily. Glad justice has been served, but it will not bring back Amy and Dalton.
