Nala, a mixed breed puppy, fell 20 feet into an abandoned well Friday afternoon in the backyard 3905 NW 56 the dog's owner, Nicholas Cadle said.
Cadle had let Nala into the yard so she could go to the bathroom. When he came out to check on the puppy, she was out of sight, whimpering. Nala had fallen into a PVC pipe roughly five inches in diameter, firefighters said.

Firefighters arrived and called animal control. Working together, they rigged an animal snare with rope, pipe and other tools to reach Nala.
About 45 minutes later, the mission was a success.
