NM - Ramona Montoya-Leon & Arthur Garcia, murdered, Albuquerque, March 2012
Albuquerque police said he had the makings of a serial killer, but Fontayne Hopkins who admitted to randomly killing two people in three days may never go to prison.
When 21-year-old Hopkins was arrested in mid-March Chief Ray Schultz said at the time they believed they stopped a killing spree.

Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?

Telyith Kadeem Fontayne Hopkins, a seriously mentally ill 23-year-old who killed two people days apart for no apparent reason, will spend 60 years in state prison...
Montoya-Leon, a Plaza Inn housekeeper working alone on the fifth floor cleaning a room March 10, 2012, was raped and stabbed with a knife that was later thrown into the trash at the nearby Embassy Suites hotel. Garcia was found March 13, 2012, in his apartment with a bag over his head and battered with a hand weight.
According to a plea agreement, Hopkins at the time was living mostly on the streets.
