OH - Julianna, 85, & Alan Grna, 43, brutally murdered, Akron, 11 July 2009
Julianna Grna, 85, and her 43-year-old son were bludgeoned to death in their Akron home in July 2009. But police were left with no fingerprints, no eyewitnesses and no murder weapon.

Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?

From August 2010:
A 32-year-old Akron man was sentenced Monday to life without parole for the 2009 murder of a mother and her son.
Johnnie Cook, 32, was convicted of killing Julianna Grna, 85, and her son Alan Grna, 43, on July 11 at 4:30 a.m. last year inside their Akron home on Johnston Street by striking them multiple times in the head with a hammer-like object.
Cook also stole the victims' car, cell phone, jewelry, firearms and credit cards.
