OK - Mark Anderson, 60, Oklahoma City, 12 May 2012

Mark Anderson. This is slightly confusing because he was last seen in two different states? And might have been in Phoenix.

Mark has been missing for over 10 days now after walking out of his Oklahoma City home. The husband and father likely needs medical attention after suffering some sort of breakdown.

This situation is frightening – and because he left “voluntarily,” there is little the authorities can do at this point.

Just saw this on Facebook and headed over here to see if I could find anymore information. Hope they find him safe and soon. Praying for that family.

The founder of the Tempe Improv has been missing for two weeks, according to a private investigator hired to help find him.

Mark Wilson Anderson, 60, was reported missing by his wife on May 12, said Thomas Martin, a private investigator in Newport Beach, Calif.

Today's Arizona Republic says he could be suffering from delusions (according to the Investigator from Calif. hired to track him)

Private investigators have been monitoring Anderson's credit-card transactions but have had no recent activity. Anderson is believed to have visited six states in the past two weeks: Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, Texas and Oklahoma.

A missing-person flier states Anderson may be in need of medical attention but did not list a medical condition.

"His medical condition has set in motion circumstances that he believes he is under some sort of threat," Martin said. "He may be suffering from some delusion."

Now this is really a coincidence ?

His club as the other article implies, was closing down due to a competitor in the same area taking the business away, whether for one reason or another.
This Article talks in depth about that, and that the Improv is due to close June 1st after being a successful comedy club for decades, in which even Jerry Seinfeld once appeared there.

Wilson is blaming others for taking away his business, but it does seem to have some validity to his claims too. Of course we have no earthly idea if his family has heard "other" information that concerns them about his mental health at this time.

But this article talks about people defecting to the other comedy club, namely his own people:

    http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/jac...ov_closing.php

Per the Arizona Republic, Stand Up Live co-owner Joel Bachkoff is accused of doing so by tapping onetime Improv talent buyer Robert Hartmann for "proprietary business information," regarding booking certain big-name comedians.

There also have been numerous unconfirmed rumors swirling around the Valley comedy scene about how former Improv co-owner/manager Dan Mer has also worked behind the scenes booking comedians at Stand Up Live. There's also plenty of scuttlebut concerning supposed bad blood between him and Improv founder Mark Anderson, which was one of the reasons why Mer defected to a competing comedy club.

Debbie Keller, a PR representative for Stand Up Live, declined to comment on any of the allegations made by Tempe Improv's press release.

"I'm afraid the only comment we have forthe club right now is that we're surprised to hear that the Tempe Improv is closing," Keller says. "As with any story, you know, there's always two sides and we look forward to sharing ours at the appropriate time."

While calls to Anderson seeking additional comment have not been returned as of this writing, he told the Arizona Republic that portions of the comedy club will become a nightlife spot called the Upbeat Lounge.
Perhaps he feels he was double crossed by many?

Here is his competitor, the Comedy Club named in the article, looks like they are having Drew Carey the comedian on June 22nd appearing.

So, big names still coming that may have once gone to the Improv instead, now going to his competitor:

    Per his SIL F.B. page:
"Still praying to find my sister's husband Mark. Story on all OKC news stations, and there is belief that he may now be in the Dallas area, perhaps between Dallas and OKC. Please help to spread the word and keep an eye out! Come Home Mark!"
