...........Authorities said they believe the bodies are those of Steven Hendrix; his girlfriend, Amber Martin; and his two young children, ages 6 and 4. They had not been seen since May 19; Hendrix's daughter, Cheyenne Hendrix, had reported the four missing May 21.

Police have identified James Roy Belknap as a suspect. His whereabouts were not known late Saturday. Police said he may be operating a white Ford F-150 or a Chevrolet Monte Carlo, color unknown.

Such beautiful children. I'm not surprised that there may be a drug dealing connection. It is so bad here in WV. This guy could be anywhere by now. I hope he's found soon.

gotta be incredibly cold-hearted to be able to kill two little kids

hope they find him soon

How, how, how could you look into those beautiful childrens faces and kill them??!

I wish I hadn't even clicked on this thread.

This article states that Belknap is the suspect, but they have no idea where he is.

So, the police have to have some pretty good evidence to be pointing fingers at him already.

One of the articles above says this:

"Police said in a news release that the bodies were found about a mile from where the man's missing 2003 Chevy Venture van was discovered Friday night near Carl, in Nicholas County. Police suspected foul play based on the vehicle's condition."

Maybe some "thing" or some other evidence was found in the vehicle that connected to the suspect....

I'm also wondering why LE doesn't have tag#s on the vehicles if they belong to the suspect or someone he knows, relative...

Hope he is found soon...after 4 murders including 2 children, what does he have to lose...this makes him very dangerous and we don't know if he has weapons either, or how the victims were killed. I looked for more details and didn't find anything yet.

Suspect Wanted For Murder Of Family Caught

http://www.wchstv.com/newsroom/eyewitness/120526_9395.shtml

WV State Police tell Eyewitness News that the man wanted for a quadruple murder has been captured.

Police have been searching for James Belknap since Saturday when four family members were found killed in a wooded area of Nicholas County.

Eyewitness News will continue to update this story as we get more information. There is a press conference scheduled for 6:30 where police plan to release more information about his capture.
-------

Police say no one was found around the vehicle but the condition of the van indicated that foul play was involved.

"The scene there was, well, I'm not going to even go into details. It was very graphic and this family had been victims of a violent crime," explained Sgt. Michael Baylous of the WV State Police.

Police Arrest Suspect In Quadruple Murder

http://www.wchstv.com/newsroom/eyewitness/120526_9395.shtml

During a press conference Monday evening, police say they arrested James Belknap just after 4:00 p.m. Monday in the Carl area of Nicholas County. He was arrested at a check point set up along Brushy Meadow Road near where the four murder victims were found.

Another man, Mark Haynes was also arrested and charged with accessory after the fact and obstruction. They say Haynes was driving the Chevy S-10 that Belknap was riding in when he was arrested.

A whole family...tiny innocent beautiful children...all over a drug debt. Un-flippin-real. I'd be interested to know what percentage of murders a year are over green pieces of paper - it just blows my mind.

When I was in high school, a boy was murdered because two other boys "thought" he was a "narc". He wasn't.

They made him dig his own grave and then killed him with the shovel and buried him. I'd forgotten about this until just now, for some reason!

It was horrible. This was in a very small town and three families were destroyed - all for the love of drugs.

From August 2013:

In the last minutes of 6-year-old Dakota Hendrix’s life, he watched his father, Steven Hendrix, his father’s girlfriend, Amber Martin, and his 4-year-old sister Kaylee be shot to death by James Roy Belknap...

Belknap was sentenced to four life sentences with no chance of parole...

Belknap initially pleaded not guilty in January this year, but later made a plea bargain with the prosecutor’s office to plead guilty to the four murders...
