Hope, Ark. — Two Hempstead County men have seemingly disappeared from the face of the Earth.

Hempstead County Sheriff James Singleton said Tuesday that, in addition to the March disappearance of Casey Clark, 31, of Fulton, authorities are seeking information on the whereabouts of Joseph Christopher Cowart, 58, of Hope, who has been missing since May 15.

Most recent article I can find (May 2013)

Main Points (paraphrased)
*Reported missing by family on Mar 20/2012, 3 days after last contact
*Car was found abandoned at a store near Fulton
*Clark was with a friend the night he disappeared. His wallet was found at the unnamed friend's home at Amandex Apartments in Hope

"Clark is described as a dark complexioned African American male, standing about five feet, six inches tall, weighing approximately 175 pounds, having black hair and brown eyes. Singleton said there was no description of the clothing Clark was wearing at the time of his disappearance."

Smith is the third Hempstead County resident to have simply disappeared in the past two years.
Joseph Christopher Cowart, 58, of 3096 Highway 174 South, and Casey Clark, 31, of Fulton, have been missing since 2012, both having simply disappeared from different locations.

Casey is entered in NamUs with a LSA of March 28.

Hempstead County Sheriff James Singleton thought he would be solving a mystery when a forensic lab finally identified a skull found on a Red River sandbar more than two years ago...

They first thought it was the remains of Casey Clark, 31, a Fulton man who was reported missing March 27, 2012. Authorities found Clark's car at the Boll Weevil Liquor Store on the banks of the Red River in Fulton upstream from the skull's discovery...

Scientists there determined the skull was from a young male Caddo Indian and was about four centuries old. They notified the Hempstead County sheriff's office Thursday of their findings. The Caddo tribe populated southern Arkansas and northern Arkansas in the early 1600s, Singleton said.

Casey is still missing.

The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Skeletal remains for NamUs #UP88221 were found a few hours away just off the Interstate from where the car was left, also just off the Interstate. He was found just last year but with accessories that would have been sold in the mall around 2012, and no wallet is listed. A Honda key fob was also present. I could not find a description of Clark’s car that was left at the Boll Weevil.
