Kathryn Joosten from Desperate Housewives passes away.

Kathryn Joosten, the Emmy-award-winning actress known for her roles on "The West Wing" and "Desperate Housewives," died Saturday after a lengthy struggle with lung cancer, her family said. She was 72.

I sobbed when she died on the Desperate Housewives finale..Today I will remember her great addition to the cast and be "Desperately" sad!
    Rest in peace, Kathyrn!

Oh, I loved her on The West Wing!

When she died so suddenly on that show, I always wondered if something had happened in real life.

    RIP Kathryn.

Mrs. McCluskey was awesome; I've been watching Desperate Housewives on Hulu from season 1 on. I loved her humor and wept when she passed in the last show. Bravo to her for keeping it real in her acting and showing that even disease couldn't stop her dream. She is not in pain now and on to the next challenge, Peace to you, Mrs. McC .

    RIP "Old Lady God".

She was an awesome character actor... in our house we knew her best from her appearances in the now-defunct Joan of Arcadia show, where she played an old lady aspect of God. It wasn't a religious show... just Joan and her family matters, and a sometimes wise cracking but loving God using various bodily forms to help guide Joan through life. I think there was maybe 18 aspects of God, altogether, but Joosten's was the best.
