A pair of 16-year-olds, one male and one female, were arrested Saturday morning after leading police on a chase that took them over 105 miles per hour in a mini van, said Guy Gill of the Washington State Patrol.

The high-speed pursuit ended when the van crashed near the interchange between Southbound I-5 and State Route 101 in Olympia. The teens got out of the van and began to run on foot away from police.

The female was apprehended quickly by police, but the male was only found two hours later, after aircraft, K-9 units, and officers from multiple agencies conducted a search. He was wearing only a pair of shorts and his body was covered in scratches from head to toe, The WSP said.

The mini van, a 2001 Honda Odyssey, had been stolen Saturday morning during a burglary in King County. The male is expected to face various felony charges. The female, a runaway, was placed in a juvenile facility. Nobody was injured during the chase.
