    Australia - Allison Baden-Clay, 43, Brisbane QLD, 19 April 2012 #18

    Thank you for joining Websleuths!

Please remember the following when discussing the Allison Baden-Clay case:
Websleuths is a moderated forum. We strive to discuss cases in a friendly environment.

Our rules can be reviewed here: The Rules (PLEASE make sure you know the rules!)

Currently, we are considering Allison's husband to be a suspected person of interest in this case. There is a possible second party involved per MSM and it is okay to discuss that aspect, but please refrain from accusing anyone of murder at this juncture. Speculating is one thing, accusing is another.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION

For a few days in a row, there have been numerous TOS violations on this case. While it may seem harmless to some, we are getting dozens of complaints from other members who want to discuss this case constructively. From now on, there will be more time outs issued to those who repeatedly choose to ignore our guidelines.

Here are just some of the problems that occur over and over:

    * Baiting /Trolling / Inciting Conflict:There are times when a member violates our rules by trying to upset other members. Please use your ALERT feature when this happens and DO NOT RESPOND TO THE POSTS. When a moderator is able to deal with the problem, it takes a LOT less time when he/she doesn't have to also deal with all the responses to the offense. Plus, it makes the one who initially started the conflict keep on going.

    * Inviting/Baiting: This is when someone says they have information they can't share on the forum. Then someone else asks for them to PM the information. It's like be at a party and whispering secrets to each other and is not allowed here. If you have something private to share, then send a private message and don't announce it on the public thread.

    * Dreams/Visions: WS doesn't condone dreams and visions and psychic information. There are plenty of sites out there on the WWW that do, but we are not one of them. We have not found that information to be helpful in solving cases.

    * Announcing alerts: Don't announce that you are alerting. Just do your part and make the alert and move on.

    * Sleuthing other members: It doesn't matter what they are doing here, we do NOT sleuth other members. Anonymity is taken very seriously on Websleuths. If this continues, a member could lose their posting privileges permanently

    * Derogatory Name Changes to Case Players/General Name Calling: is not allowed here. I'm learning more and more Aussie slang, so knock this stuff off.

    * “Off-Topic” Posts: Off-Topic posts are subject to editing or removal at administrative discretion, and without notification. Members that continuously post off topic may have their posting privileges suspended. There is a chat thread created just for you guys. Go there and discuss things that interest you, or just to joke around in a positive manner. This thread is for discussion of Allison's murder.

None of these rules are new and a more detailed explanation of them can be found here: Rules Etiquette & Information - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

Everyone is now being held responsible for knowing the rules.

Must admit to being a little shocked at the extent of the damage to the Prado. Am more willing to entertain the idea that that car became damaged on or around the time that Allison disappeared.
Kudos to you Indromum, seeing is believing!

Just catching up and apologies if anyone has mentioned this before. But firstly how about the timing of the return of the car. Were the media alerted of its impending return so that they could release pictures?
I just get the feeling that this is another way QP are tightening the noose.
I could of course be reading too much into this. Just something rattling around my belly.

There does seem to be a fair bit of dirt/mud above the mud flap of the parado. If you look at the captiva photo in the garage the wheels are clean. The damage looks like It a low but hard impact. This is just going to add to the already overwhelming speculation and fire up the rumor mill agaisnt GBC some more. Also - the police seem to say early on that seem to know what happened. Wouldn't take too much investigative work to place that car near the scene if there was enough evidence left on the vechicle due to the crash.

I think I maybe a little behind. The Prado has been seen at the family home by Indromum prior to this news article. CM it seems are behind as well.
    Ignore my post above.

Are there large rocks or boulders lying around in any of the areas of interest? A boulder in the scrub at night would be easily missed? But that's just too dumb, surely!

Personally I think it's clever that the damage was not mentioned (if it was known to police from day 1 of 'disappearance') because this would allow for witness statements to document a timeframe of when the damage occurred, rather than supposition, eg: someone who saw the vehicle at 11pm reports there was definitely no damage while witness who saw the vehicle at 3am noticed damage and headlight was smash etc etc

    All is very much MOO!

Gerard has lost a lot of facebook friends the last 24 hours or so.
The pressure cooker feeling must be extreme right now.

While you guys are sleeping I had a little look at Aussiecrims. Haven't had time to read many of the posts there but this one was certainly interesting.
I can only copy and paste 10% so if you want to continue reading there is a link below.

I want to address the bridge body dump versus washed downstream theory.

I was a scout and I camped at Tyampolum scout campsite. I know the terrain, kholo creek and bridge, i grew up in the area and basically know the locational geography of this case very well.

I have been closely following this case like alot of people up and down the country.

I know the body was dumped over the railings of the Kholo bridge and not dumped upstream and washed down there in the rains – and I know the police know this.

One snippet the police have revealed is information relating to vehicle activity at the Kholo bridge based on an appeal for information.

I would imagine that this sort of damage would trigger the airbags - so if it occurred on the night in question, perhaps that is what brought swift police action?

The dented car is a great new lead! Well done Indromum, you should have got some credit in the article.

I'm sure this new lead will be discussed at length today. Early posts about it are focusing on how GBC might have crashed it - which is of course a possibility.

I just wanted to point out that until Indromum's sighting most posters here seemed of the view (based on opinions of earlier "local" posters) that the Prado was in fact ABCs car and had until recently had the licence plate ALLISON.

I guess we don't know what is correct re the licence plate (before Indromum sighting) and who drove it on the night - but if it was ABCs car perhaps ABC crashed it?

Eg If ABC left the house voluntarily after GBC went to bed, perhaps ABC had a crash - maybe even into the guard rail on the bridge - and was trying to flag down help or assess damage when struck by a passing drunk driver, who then took steps to cover the accident (horrible thought - but pushed ABC off bridge, found address in car and returned car in the dead of night).

Just trying to think outside the square folks!

The panels that seemed to have copped the direct impact, at the most pronounced depth, are usually plastic. The most interesting thing about the scratch on the side of the vehicle, is the actual height of it. Its a strange position of it to be in, unless the impact took place, and then further scrape damage as a result of shifting the wheel quickly. It seems too high to be a koppers log. If anything it looks some sort of guard rail damage, bridge, roundabout, sharp corner etc...

My wife and I have two cars and we just drive whichever one we feel like at the time - there is no rhyme or reason. I think it is going to be difficult to say with any certainty who was driving what without some sort of physical evidence. MOO
