According to the Spokane County Medical Examiner page (link here), Bernice D. Alliso was born 08/28/1901 and passed away 06/08/1997. She is interred at the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Here is her FindAGrave.com page with a wrong birth date, it seems: Link here.

I found a SSDI entry for a "Bernice D. Allison" with the same birthdate as this case file. I wonder if "Alliso" was a typo that was simply propagated? The SSDI shows an SSN whereas the ClaimUs entry says no SSN is available.

For "Bernice D. Allison," I have found the following...

December 9, 2009 article in The Spokesman-Review on the burial of unclaimed remains: Link here.

A FindAGrave profile with matching birth and death dates. Link here. What is confusing is that this listing says that Ms. Allison is buried at the Tahoma Cemetery.
    Birth: Aug. 28, 1901

The parents FindAGrave links say that it is a "calculated relationship" so not sure how accurate this information is.

I did find this 1920 census listing:

"United States Census, 1920," Bernice Allison in household of Frank T Allison, , Yakima, Washington
    Name: Bernice Allison
    Residence: , Yakima, Washington
    Estimated Birth Year: 1902
    Age: 18
    Birthplace: Illinois
Relationship to Head of Household: Daughter
    Gender: Female
    Race: White
    Marital Status: Single
    Father's Birthplace: Illinois
    Mother's Birthplace: Illinois

SON Terrence Allison M 23y Illinois
SON Charles Allison M 21y Illinois
DAU Bernice Allison F 18y Illinois
DAU Muriel Allison F 16y Illinois
This Ms. Allison's father has Illinois and Irish roots while the mother was either born in Sweden (FindAGrave) or Illinois (1920 census posting). The father re-married and this step-mother has a personalized FindAGrave page: Link here. One brother was a WWI veteran who passed away in 1948: Link here.

Base off of this information, I found a mangled 1910 census listing.

United States Census, 1910," B*I* D Allison in household of Frank T Allison, N Yakima Ward 3, Yakima, Washington

    query

I sent a query to a person who maintains a Holmquist family history website for a family that has roots in Illinois. When and if I hear anything back I will let you know.

There is a a Reka Holmquist Allison, died in 1921 in Illinois, whose father is Swan P Holmquist and mother is Bette Hokanson (both born in Sweden) and the spouse is listed as Frank Allison. If so, I think she had siblings.

    I will keep investigating.

From the March 13, 1955, Seattle Daily Times (Seattle, WA):

Allison, Charles B., age 56 years, of 4022 Greenwood Avenue. Beloved husband of Enid, stepfather of Sharon, Linda and Janet Henson; brother of Miss Bernice Allison, Spokane, Mrs. Ralph Kellum, Yakima. Services Tuesday 1 p.m. Wiggen & Sons Chapel.

From this we see that sister Mary married Ralph Kellum of Yakima on 27 Aug 1921. The Yakima marriage license for them lists her first name a Muriel.

The SSDI tells us that Muriel Kellum, b. 8 Oct 1903 died in February 1979.
The SSDI tell us that Ralph Kellum died Apr 1984.
The 1930 and 1940 census show Ralph and Muriel M. Kellum have children
    Bettie b. c 1923
    Jureta (illegible) b.c. 1924
    Shirley b. c. 1928
    Virginia b. c. 1931

These girls would all be nieces to Bernice, daughters of her sister.

Jureta D. marries Ervin M. Yoerger in Franklin County, Washington in 1941. According to the SSDI, Jureta 5 Feb 2001 in Yakima. According to her obit on Find-a-Grave, she leaves her husband Ervin and a daughter Judy of Union Gap. Sadly, Ervin died just a couple of weeks ago. Here is his obit, which should give the authorities what they need to find Judy, who would be a great-niece to Beatrice:
    http://www.yakima-herald.com/obits/2.../ervin-yoerger

If not, I have more info on the other nieces.

It looks like Tifflee found relatives above. Do we know if they were contacted? Or if this has been resolved?
