Police: Body washes ashore on Flagler Beach
FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. — Flagler Beach police say a man's body was discovered in the water at the beach Friday night. According to police, the body was found by two people who were walking on the beach around 11:00 p.m.
Investigators say the deceased man, who appears to be in his 50's, was naked when he was found. Officials say the man had some trauma to his body, leading police to deem the death suspicious. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
Investigators believe the body may have been in the water for a few days. Police say the investigation remains ongoing.

Flagler Beach police seek help identifying dead man
Also in this article...
Flagler County sheriff's investigators also are continuing to work a cold case from Sept. 10, 1997, involving another unidentified naked man who had been shot in the head and whose body was found in a Flagler Beach waterway.
Two Sea Ray employees were testing a boat on the Intracoastal Waterway when they found the body, which had been bound.
Had an alligator not torn off the victim's left arm, which loosened the ropes that weighted him, the body may never have surfaced, sheriff's investigators said in a recent interview.
"He has not been identified," sheriff's spokeswoman Debra Johnson said Thursday.------------------------------------------------------------

FL - Help Identify Body Florida
FLAGLER BEACH — Flagler Beach police commissioned a local artist to create a new composite drawing of a man whose body washed ashore in June in hopes of identifying him and solving his murder.
The man who washed ashore is estimated to be between 45 and 64 years old, had been shot in the head and was naked. His body was found June 8 about 11 p.m. in the surf by passersby.
"It's so upsetting to me that three months down the road he still hasn't been identified," Detective Liz Williams said Tuesday. "I think this new drawing is much more accurate."
John Doe, loosely estimated to be between 45 and 64 years old, had been shot in the head and was naked when he washed ashore on June 8 and was found about 11 p.m. in the surf by passersby.
The St. Johns County Medical Examiner determined the man "was the victim of a homicide by gunshot."
Investigators said the dead man was 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighed about 150 pounds. He was described as "pale" white with brown eyes and hair tinged with gray.
"If you think of the tallest, skinniest guy you know, that's his build," Williams said. "That's the thing that distinguishes him the most."
Police released a sketch within days of finding his body, but it produced only dead-end leads.
"We've run into a wall, so we're trying something else," Chief Dan Cody said. "We've exhausted all the leads we had, which went nowhere."
Local artist Kayla Daniel of Inflicting Beauty created the new sketch to help police, Williams said.
The man had an overbite and dental work that included three gold crowns and two partial gold crowns, the detective said. He was also taking a daily drug called Effexor that is used to treat anxiety and depression.
"He had good hygiene — shaven, haircut and neatly trimmed nails — and proper dental care," Williams said. "He was under medical care for the anxiety or depression, so somebody has to know this man."
The man had no tattoos, scars or other visible identifying marks on the body.
Initially, police thought the body might have been in the water for several days. It was later determined he had been dead for a couple of days before he was dumped at sea. There were no signs of ligature to indicate that he was tied up, Williams said in June.
Neither fingerprints nor dental records have proven helpful in identifying the man. He was not wearing clothing or jewelry.
Anyone with information is asked to call Williams at 386-517-2039, or 386-931-5825. Tips can also be called into Crime Stoppers at 888-277-TIPS (8477). Callers remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
10-05-2012, 03:46 PM #7e was between 45 and 65 years old. He stood 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighed 150 pounds.
Investigators said the victim had been in fairly good health before his death and he'd had significant dental work. The man had been on daily medication, suggesting he was under a doctors care, according to authorities.

Project Jason has a better picture:
height/weight match up... eye and hair color and he left an Ohio hospital without his medication on may 18th.
I think he resembles the first sketch.....
However the 2nd sketch seems very different to me, and possibly resembles this man last known in FL (minus the beard)?

I couldnt find a missing report for him which is not too surprising since he was homeless. The picture in the article above does not like look some one who is homeless ( in my opinion) I wonder what happened ? I wonder if he had been homeless for a shot period of time?
