CA - Iesha Hill Mixed Alcohol With Baby Formula, Infant Had Booze In System

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/0...html?ref=crime

Iesha Hill, 26, was arrested Saturday in Stockton after she realized her daughter had alcohol in her system and took her to the hospital, according to Fox 40.

Hill's mother, 44-year-old Tressie Piggee, says the whole thing was an accident. Baby formula had been made with a bottle of what appeared to be water on Friday night -- but the unlabeled bottle turned out to be Bacardi, she told News 10.

    From your link:

Hill faces child abuse and endangerment charges, and the incident is still under investigation.
At least it's being looked into and taken seriously...from the picture the child does seem to have been well cared for..I hope she will be OK and the mother learns a lesson from this.

Iesha Hill, 26, was arrested Saturday in Stockton on child abuse charges after her five-month-old girl showed signs of having alcohol.

Charges were dropped Tuesday. The San Joaquin District Attorney's office said the case didn't meet the "legal elements" needed for a felony child endangerment charge.

Hill then emphasized that the situation involving her baby and alcohol was an accident. And to anyone who questions her parenting skills, she offered, "I'm not a bad mom. Stuff happens. You know, it kind of hurt my feelings just to know that people even think something of me like that because I take good care of my kids. Most definitely. They come first."

Asked what she learned from the whole ordeal, Hill said, "Stop drinking. I'm never drinking again. Because I don't want this to ever happen again to my kids or anyone...It was really painful being here by myself without my kids. Really painful."

Probably not, if she'd been drinking it herself before hand.
