Didn't see this case mentioned here prior, the Namus link shows a composite photo of the unidentified female who was found in a wooded area off New Jersey Turnpike near Perth Amboy, NJ.

13668
24653

Estimated Height and Weight is 5'3" 112lbs

My first thought by the photo only was Nancy Jason (who has been mentioned a few times for other cases). Her circumstances are strange, and the her listed height is 5'7".

Thoughts?

would be nice to know exactly where she was found. Namus says "near Perth Amboy" and the NJSP link says "near East Brunswick".

besides the fact these are two different towns with completely different demographics (even going back 30 yrs), I wonder if the only means of getting there was the turnpike or a local road. Perth Amboy is right across the water from Staten Island, NY.

Carl, the UID's dentals are described this way:

Tooth #4 has extensive caries and draining fistula.
Diastema between #26 and 27.
#8 and #9 overlap.
Maxillary incisors exhibit extreme protrusion with 10 mm. overjet.

would you be able to provide an image of the overlap of #8 & 9 as well as the exgtreme protrusion of the maxillary incisors?

Not sure what you are asking. Are you requesting that I draw what that would look like?

For sure. I lived right outside of East Brunswick in 1979 (Somerset) and Perth Amboy is really not that close at all. I wonder if she was found along a long stretch between exits and the two exits are listed? I don't remember traveling the turnpike.

As an aside, anyone else here see the similarities to 'Cali'?

Young girl
1979
Shot in the head
Dumped at the side of a road
No ID
Jewelry not taken
New Jersey/New York connecting States

It does make you wonder if they are connected.

Either way, looking through the possibilities in the Cali thread (since they are physically very similar from the same time period) could give you some good leads.

big difference is that Cali was found in a rural upstate NY location, this UID was found near the NJ Turnpike a major roadway with heavy truck traffic.

that's not to say she was dumped from the Turnpike. we have no idea how close to the road she was found so she could have been dumped from a completely local side road as opposed to someone pulling over the side of the Turnpike and either killing her on the spot or dragging a body out of a vehicle.

while nothing is impossible, I have my doubts that someone pulled over the side of the Turnpike. the traffic is heavy and there are state troopers all over the place.

Here's a possible match. Not sure why I didn't see it sooner.

Brenda Crowley, age 16, (near check), ran away from her home in Staten Island, NY, (very nearby) date uncertain, but listed as March 1, 1979 (very close, check)

Brenda had brown hair (check), was 5'5" (check), weight listed as 120 (almost the same as the 125 lbs for the UID), and photos show what appears to be dental protrusions (possible check).

On the down side, Brenda was reported to have had a prior fracture to an arm which is not referenced in the UID's profile.

Both have dentals on file so it should be a simple task to compare them. Any thoughts?

I decided to submit this one to Donna Fontana. I will keep everyone posted.

I know we were talking about her in another NJ Uid thread, but what about Jennifer Prince?https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/22939/7/

Was just coming here to suggest Jennifer as she's a new addition to Charley Project. The dress matches, Jennifer was last seen wearing a rust colored dress. However it sounds like this Jane Doe was found fairly recent and Jennifer was last seen in April 1978, over a year prior. That probably makes it unlikely that she is this UID in my opinion, unless the date entered is incorrect.

Here is the UID's doe page, didn't see it posted here yet - http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/152ufnj.html

This UID had pretty bad teeth. I suspect that model Jennifer Prince had taken care of her teeth.

It would require her to be somewhere for a few years, but Jan Cotta was about the same weight and height
(A bit taller than the estimate.) She also had not been to a dentist.

She also had a previously fractured arm and a club foot, so that's probably a rule out.
