He was the right age (26), his height (5'6") was within an inch, he was from Hacienda Heights, and the time he went missing is right within the estimated timeframe.

... or if that doesn't fly, how about Edward Frances Copeland

His height (5'9") is two inches off, but his age (21) is right, the timeframe is also within range, and Anaheim is only a few miles down Hwy 57 from Hacienda Heights.

I just spoke with Liz Napoles of the LA County Coroner's Office. She didn't see anything in the casefile to indicate that Jody Hall had been looked at. She will pass the info on to the investigators. Hopefully, they will look into it.

Since the last activity was 5 years ago, here's a bump. Carl, do you know if investigators ever looked into Jody Vann Hall? Both of them have DNA according to namus, so comparing the two shouldn't be too much of an issue unless they have mtDNA for Hall since they only have nucDNA for the UID.

Not that I know of. It is probably just a presumed rule-out based on the fact that both cases have DNA available and are presumed to be in the system. Since both the MP and UID case are in the same state, they would probably be presumed to be in both the state database and national CODIS.
