I want more info on this interview - such as:

How did she come to hear about the position? Who and How did she contact to express interest? Where was the interview to take place?

This interview concerns me. My hackles are up.

The first thing I thought of was Craigslist might be where she found the advertisement--people turn to CL a lot for those types of positions. I always wonder if advertiser and the person responding will be meeting in a public place and I just know they don't. So dangerous.

LE searched BF home, computer, took his DNA.
She was found nude from waist down. Her car keys, her cell phone and I believe her pocketbook are still missing.

LE are waiting for forensics to come back.

I'll put up transcripts when they are posted.

I really thought this case would have been solved by now. LE seemed to be making some headway (mustang, trailer search). It's possible they know more than they've allowed to be known. I hope so.

Someone must have been really angry at her to not only hit her, but shoot her in the face and then burn her body. Seems like overkill.

As per tarabull's article above...why the need for HR dogs last Fri., AFTER her body had already been found? And what "very interesting" evidence could they have found???

    NG Transcript - aired July 23, 2012

    snipped...

COSBY: And also I understand we also see these items in this purse that are missing. Give us the significance, Dave, of those items that are missing.

MACK: You know, I -- her purse was found five miles away from the body. Missing from the purse were her car keys, her cell phone and a pair of tennis shoes. Those are things that are unaccounted for right now. So you`ve got the car, her `95 Ford Mustang found 15 miles away from her body was found. Her pocketbook, the pink pocketbook found five miles from her body and yet the contents, the phone, keys and shoes all missing.

    http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIP.../23/ng.01.html

as far as i can see at the link i added to my quote above - that said her purse had been located WITH HER CELL IN IT - has been updated today and that bit removed...

so it seems there are still these missing items...phone, keys, shoes.

Strange case... many cases follow a "rule of three" in that an abduction takes place at one location, evidence disposed of at a second location, and the body left at a third.
We sort of see that here, but the body was not hidden. Leaving her burning body by the side of a road is something I just don't get... it's like he wanted her found, but it's so disrespectful (not that there's anything respectful about taking one's life)... did the **** think her body couldn't be identified?
My thoughts/opinions are just that and not be used outside of Websleuths.

There was also a young woman murdered in the same area back in March who was a Nursing student. She was 19 years old.

Something I learned about Megan that I didn't know (bbm below) and something about the special type of human it takes to fill that important role - that makes her murder even more difficult to understand...

Megan was studying to be a nurse, like her father, her sister, and her grandmother.

Like her story wasn't heartbreaking enough already...
