Part 1: (Roger Scott Dunn) Dunn murder investigation a testament of relentless effort to find closure. Roger Scott Dunn’s grave in Lubbock lay empty for 21 years. His parents reported him missing in June 1991 and later faced his killers and saw them convicted, but more than two decades passed before a couple of maintenance men at El Chaparral Apartments found his remains, four doors away from the last place he’d lived. The Dunn case brings to light 36 unsolved murders in the area.

An inmate already serving a life prison term in a 2007 intoxication assault case has been sentenced to 40 years behind bars for a 1991 slaying in Lubbock.

Joseph Jeffrey pleaded guilty Wednesday to murder in the beating death of John Duncan at the victim's residence.

Investigators located Duncan's body in the burned remains of his home on Feb. 16, 1991. Authorities say the victim was beaten with a hard object and his feet were severed.

A Lubbock Grand Jury indicted a suspect in a murder case and a rape, both dating back to 2008.

Billy Jack Limbaugh, Jr., 43, is accused of killing Monica Adams, whose body was found in a northeast Lubbock field.

Lubbock Police announced “new developments” Monday morning in the 1993 murder case of Sherry Ann Ragsdale Dorsey.

The suspect was publicly identified as Kenneth Earl Taylor. He died in October of 2007.
