NY - Bernard Revell, 7, bludgeoned to death, mom charged, 6 July 2012

A mother who notably adored and doted on her 9 Year Old son murdered him with a hammer. She then took pills to overdose, but called 911 for herself.

In all fairness they mentioned the other NY mom was a teacher. In this case they are reporting this woman is a prostitute. They have labeled her profession as "hooker". JMO, but we didn't need to know that title.




Only one other link did say she has cancer? Might as well said a hooker with cancer I guess.

You know.... there are just cases that tug at your heart-strings!!!! Most women who murder their children and then attempt or succeed at suicide kill the children because they think all hope is lost, and no one else will be able to take care of, or care for, the children - incredibly sad. Most men, on the other hand, kill the kids to get even with the woman, or simply in a fit of rage at their inability to control the crying/frustration of the child. (see link below). At 9 years old, 'Little B' was capable of understanding that something was seriously wrong with his Mother, and the horror he must have felt when being hit with the hammer is just gut-wrenching for me to think about! Why was their no one else in the lives of Little B and/or Teneka Revell that they could turn to for help? Why and when, as a society did we descend into this state of solitary existence? Where oh where, is the extended family that lends support? What happened to the natural law of a Mother protecting her child at all cost? RIP Little B..... I pray that you had a few good days in your short life. So sad... so very sad....

It's so true in so many cases. There's no more extended family like back in the day or people just have their own stuff or they figure they raised their kids and aren't going to do it again.

In this case her mom is in Florida and she has the boyfriend who she has been with since Lil B was just an infant. He says he effectively helped her raise this child.

He also claims she was on medication for anger. Did two stints in prison. Had gotten pregnant not long ago with his child and due to cancer treatment lost the baby. She has been depressed and angry he said.
