    ANCHORAGE, Alaska A search of Mount Marathon near Seward resumed Satiurday morning after being suspended Friday evening for Michael LeMaitre, the 66-year-old runner last seen during the 85th annual Mount Marathon footrace Wednesday.

    The statement says the timer reported LeMaitre's position to race officials when he reached the bottom of the mountain at 6:20 p.m. According to the statement, he told LeMaitre's wife to expect him shortly, but to notify race officials if he was not back within an hour and a half. She notified them her husband was missing about an hour and forty minutes later.

    The odds of the man, who was wearing only a T-shirt, running shorts and shoes, surviving four nights with wet weather and temperatures dipping into the 40's are not good. All 20 square miles of the mountain were examined without any sign of LeMaitre

    Wow. That sounds like some treacherous terrain. Many thanks to all the searchers doing some hard, hard work out there looking for Michael. I hope they find him soon.

    Michael LeMaitre Missing: Family Loses Hope Of Finding Extreme Runner Alive

    Peggy LeMaitre no longer holds out hope that her husband is alive five weeks – and multiple searches – after he vanished on Alaska's Mount Marathon during a popular extreme race.

    "The only hope I have is that they will find him and bring him home, so we can put him to rest," the Anchorage woman said.
