TX TX - Jesus Martinez Alvarado, 4, Houston, 20 Oct 2004 - Mother Murdered

Team Amber Alert Tx-- Police in Texas continue to search for a missing 4 year-old boy and his father in Texas as the Amber Alert remains active.

Police believe the boy's father has his son or knows where he is now. They want to question Avelino Martinez-Alvarado in connection with his wife's murder.

Jesus Martinez Alvarado, is described as standing 3 feet tall, weighing 30 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

The father could be driving a 1993 brown Chevrolet pickup extended cab with the license plate VS2034. He could be enroute to Laredo, Texas where he has relatives.

Anyone with information about the missing boy or father should contact Houston police at 713-308-3600.

again this is an urgent “Call to Action” to find this child and return him to his surviving family.

Martinez-Alvarado is 31 years old, who stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds.

Relatives reported to police that Rocio Alvaredo was afraid of her estranged husband because he had tried to kill her before.

Police issued the alert after discovering Jesus Martinez Alvarado's mother had been stabbed to death inside his father's northeast Houston apartment in the 1300 block of Witte at Long point at about 1 a.m.

Houston police said the couple's 1 year-old daughter was also found unharmed inside 27 year-old Rocio Alvarado's estranged husband's apartment.

Is there any indication that Avelino took his son into Mexico? I thought I read somewhere that he has relatives on both sides of the border.

Police are asking for help finding the person who murdered his wife then kidnapped their young son.

It happened in northwest Houston October 2004.

Police said Avelino Alvardo killed his wife and ran off with their four-year-old son.
