Public warned not to make friends with giant escaped lizard

six-foot long Nile monitor lizard weighing 25 pounds and owning a disease-infested mouth attached to a jaw capable of chewing through its leash — or somebody’s leg

Duh, ok. Who would want to get near it. I do hope no one shoots it. As the former 'mom' of a 6ft Iguana who is now at a petting zoo, I don't want to see the lizard killed.

:what::what::what:Whaaaaaaaa. what? O.K. I promise if he comes this way I'll avoid him, Jacie. I can't vouch for the drug dealers who would probably try and keep him as a pet in a second floor room where they store drugs.

Germ infested? Man, that poor guy got the black plague recently from his cat you think I'd be messing with a giant lizard? If I didn't go to see the now captured hybrid wolf-dog in our park here I ain't looking for no lizard.:what::what::what:

awwww
poor guy...
my brothers & father raised/bred various reptiles (monitors, iguanas, geckos and the list goes on). we had a 4' nile monitor and a baby one....we would take them outside on a leash....

they were both super sweet....

An Iguana at a petting zoo? :waitasec:

I agree with the quote below;

Ensinger said officers may use a tracking dog if Dino isn't located by Tuesday afternoon.

"I'm not going after it," Ensinger said. "I don't do reptiles."

Yeah, he lives in the glassed in reptile room. He really is cute but he just got too big for the house. When he was little, he would climb up on my shoulder but then he was bigger than I was. :D
