Bixby - Bixby Police are hoping an upcoming search warrant will lead to new evidence in the disappearance of a Bixby mother. 48-year-old Kelley Harris was last seen July 3rd.

Police said she was running errands that day to get ready for a party she planned to throw July 4th. Wal-Mart surveillance video places her grocery shopping in the afternoon. Police said her daughter ran into her in the driveway, before Harris left to pick up something from her friend Michael's house. She had told Michael she had to run an errand. When she did not return home, her family reported her missing the next day.

"My mom was kind of the glue of this whole family," said Harris's 24-year-old son, Bradney Chitwood. "She was always the light in the house. Without her here, the place is empty."

ATTENTION: My mom has been missing since Tuesday, July 3rd, 2012 at 4:45PM. She was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, denim blue jeans, and white Nike tennis shoes. Her name is KELLY HARRIS, she drives a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus pictured above (car has purple Vikings front plate). She is 5'4, 120 pounds, brown shoulder - length hair, and brown eyes. PLEASE. If anyone sees her, or her car, call the Bixby Police Department at (918)366-8294. Share this photo, and please pray for a safe return.

Police originally wondered if Kelley's disappearance was stress-related, as her son is engaged to be married in August and her daughter is expecting a baby that same month. However, as time has gone by, police said they expect foul play is possible.

Patrolling officers found her 2000 Chrysler Cirrus parked with the windows down at Bristol Park Apartments in East Tulsa Friday.

Sergeant Andy Choate said he hopes a search warrant will lead to Harris's belongings. He plans to search the place in question within 24 hours of receiving the warrant.

i thought they had found her car

nevermind.....i didn't read very well

TPD found the vehicle all four windows were down, they ran the tags and that's when they realized it belonged to the missing woman. BPD says just hours before it rained, but there weren't any water spots but it led them to believe someone else was driving.

"There are a thousand different scenarios that can play out,” said Bixby Police Detective Andrew Choate. “None of them have a good ending."

Harris was last seen at the Wal-Mart in Bixby. It was one of their biggest clues until they found her car Friday. They're hoping someone in this apartment complex saw something to help them tie all the clues together.

"We're going to ask neighbors about the vehicle, we're going to ask neighbors about possibly seeing Ms. Harris in the area," said Choate.

"It's a hard thing to deal with everyday."

Bixby police told me when Harris disappeared she was carrying $860 on her at the time. They believe someone at Bristol Park apartment complex might have some answers.

Who knew she was carrying that much cash?
Did anyone follow her out of Walmart and out of the parking lot?

I just found this missing story today and am very familiar with these areas. I have shopped at this same Walmart and always felt safe shopping there. It is in a thriving area with rapid growth. The city of Tulsa is just 1-2 miles north. In fact, it is difficult to tell when you leave Tulsa and enter Bixby.

Many years ago I worked and knew many people in the area where her car was found. This area use to be pretty nice, but it has become an area riddled with crime. (ex) I would not stop in this area to buy gas at night. Her car was found about 7-8 miles north from the Walmart.

Her son, Brad, commented after rude remarks following this news story.

This story says she took the groceries home and visited a friend in Broken Arrow. The city of Broken Arrow is just a few miles east of Bixby.

Interesting snippet from another news story...

snipped...
She later visited a male friend in the 4400 block of West Madison Street in Broken Arrow, where she is reported to have left about 4:45 p.m. in her car, a champagne-colored 2000 Chrysler Cirrus with Oklahoma license tag 316-GZY and a front license plate that says "Vikings #1."

Her son, Bradney Chitwood, said none of the family knows the friend personally.

Interesting to me that no one in the family knows this man personally. The article also says her husband knew something was wrong the next morning when she hadn't come home. I guess he went to bed not knowing where she was.

Hoping and praying for her safe return!

So her bank account has not been touched SINCE July 4, so does that mean there was activity on the 4th? She went missing on the 3rd. Any activity the day after she went missing would be of GREAT interest to the investigation.

The behavior of the husband seems very odd to me - not that it incriminates him, but it makes her appear to have a history of being unreliable.

To report her missing at 5 p.m. the following day, when she'd been then missing for 24 hours makes it appear this wasn't completely unexpected that she'd be out all night long. A bit of a concern, but it came to a crisis when she missed her party at 5. That, and carrying $800 in cash, and having a "players card" that she had used just a week or so before. It just doesn't seem completely hopeless to think that she isn't safe somewhere on an adventure.

Prayers she is found safe.

Wow....just 3 1/2 minutes. Good find, Surfie. I hope LE is on this guy.

If it's the one on her facebook, from a brief look around, I don't see anything that raises any red flags about him. Her court records also do not indicate much (a few financial problems and divorces).

That property might be a rental. The story in the below link says she went to visit a friend named Michael.

According to Tulsa County Property Records the house is not owned by anyone named Michael. Here is link to the property records. I searched by address.

Btw...this area is right on the borderline where Tulsa and Broken Arrow meet. I actually thought this was a Tulsa address when I saw the map.
E. 71st St. and S. Garnett are high traffic areas.

Surely they have interviewed this friend, Michael.

I feel very bad for her daughter. It appears she is going to give birth today or maybe tomorrow. She is missing her mom a lot. :(

I just put in the block address (as it was quoted in the article). I'm guessing he could live anywhere on the 4400 block.

I first thought she had some financial records, but I don't think those are her records. That is a Kelly L. I am sure her name is Kelley Jean Harris.

I didn't find anything for Kelley J. Harris.

Search with Kelley Chitwood first. You will see where she married a Shockley. Then search with Kelley Shockley, and you will see her divorce.

Kelley Harris
Kelley Shockley (daughter's last name)
Kelley Chitwood (son's last name)

There are other counties in Oklahoma that are on another site. I'll search over there and will link if I find anything.

I did find a home on that block owned by one person with the first name of Michael.

Hey Fab, I'm trying to figure out the husbands middle initial. I think it is Robert L. Have you found anything?
