At least eight Walmarts across Missouri have been evacuated Friday evening after bomb threats.
Two of the stores are in the Kansas City area.
Two and a half hours after the threats were called in, police declared the scenes as safe.

Walmart stores in Leavenworth and Lawrence were evacuated [Sunday] after a string of bomb threats continued against the discount chain.
A threat phoned into the Grandview Walmart about 4:30 a.m. Sunday said there was an explosive planted at the Leavenworth store.
Threats also were phoned in to both Walmart stores in Lawrence, just minutes apart and shortly before 2:30 a.m. Sunday, said Douglas County Sheriff’s Sgt. Randy Roberts
Captain Eric Hovis of the Frederickton, Mo., Police Department, south of St. Louis, said that around 6:45 p.m. Friday a Walmart worker “received an automated phone call that said ‘There’s a bomb in the building. You have two hours to get everyone out. This is no joke.’ ”
Hovis said the worker described the caller’s voice as robotic or automated, and not normal conversation.
Chief Richard Sanders of the Piedmont, Mo., Police Department, about 50 miles southwest of Fredericktown, described the call to the Piedmont Walmart at 8:10 p.m. in similar terms.
