Unfortunately, ½ aunts and uncles are not referred to as immediate next of kin for legal purposes. Morally, if you send the contact information, including a contact address or phone number, I would be glad to confirm relationship and notify the extended family of the death and the location of the remains. They may really appreciate the information.
I have sent an email thru ancestry.com to the owner of the family tree that miss sunshine found to see if I can get some contact information.
