Thank you to Amber34 for sending this to me.

A body has been found under burning debris at a supermarket car park in Chippenham, Wiltshire.

Police said the discovery was made in the early hours of Tuesday by a dog handler on routine patrol at the Bath Road Sainsbury's store.

The fire service put out the blaze and the body was found shortly afterwards.

The remains, which have yet to be identified, were discovered after firefighters put out the fire at around 3am. The fire service was alerted by a dog handler on routine patrol.

It is understood the body is so severely burned that officers cannot tell whether it is male or female.

Wiltshire Police said it was too early to say whether the incident was suspicious. A spokesman said, in light of the ongoing missing person inquiry into the disappearance of schoolgirl Tia Sharp, that the body was believed to be an adult.

The force appealed for witnesses with information, including a young couple seen walking through the car park holding hands.

Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Mark Power said: “We would like to hear from anyone who was in and around the area of the Sainsbury’s car park between the hours of 1.30am and 3am.

Thank you for posting this for me daisy7 :)

The store closes at 10pm and the filling station at 10.30pm. This store is at a junction of two main roads with a 24 hour McDonalds on the entrance road.

TY, summer! From your link:

It was announced earlier this week that police are not treating her death as suspicious, but officers are continuing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

So, they must think she set herself on fire?
