GUILTY KY - Sherry Dillon, 44, found buried in her Pike County backyard, 7 July 2012

So, do they suspect its the same woman at the bottom of the article in the missing person article?

It appears that they were searching the property while looking for her and discovered the container.

:(

According to Project Jason, it was a freezer.

BELFRY, Ky. (WKYT) - On July 16, 2012 Kentucky State Police Post 9 in Pikeville was contacted by the family of Sherry (Sissy) Gauze Dillon. Dillon's family reported to KSP that she had not been seen since July 7, 2012.

Dillon was last seen at her residence in the Belfry community of Pike County on the morning of July 7, 2012.

Dillon is described as 44 years old, brown eyes, glasses, slim build, 125 pounds and long white/blonde hair.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Sherry Dillon is asked to contact Kentucky State Police Post 9 Pikeville at 1-800-222-5555 or (606) 433-7711.

Does this mean she has been identified?

I think that is a safe conclusion. the obituary combined with the indictment for her murder is pretty persuasive evidence to me that they found her remains.

Friday Bruce Dillon was sentenced after pleading guilty to manslaughter charges in October...

Dillon will spend 19 years of his life behind bars...

Prosecutors say they agreed to a manslaughter plea because they felt the case lacked the proof to go to trial, including a manner of death. The medical examiner could only guess that she died from suffocation after being stuffed into a freezer and buried in the yard.
