Staff from the medical examiner’s office estimated that the bones had been in the water between six months and a year, the official said. A forensic anthropologist with the medical examiner’s office assembled the remains into a skeleton, but the gender remains unclear.

The Port Authority responded, and discovered more bones in at least 17 different places near the shoreline.

Sources tell CBS 2 investigators suspect the body may be a suicide that jumped from a bridge and floated into the channel.

Am wondering if this could be Ian Burnet, http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/0...n_1197350.html

If the UID height estimate (6'6") is correct, this would make Ian Barnett unlikely.

Robert Sillan, Jr. is a little bit shorter than the UID's height estimate, but he is from Queens, the timeline is right, his age is about right, and has "badly injured soles of his feet, major scarring." (Perhaps that would explain the UID's lower leg brace)
